“For some time my work has involved the tension between fragments and wholes,” David Row says. For Row, fragments represent what we experience, and wholes represent what we desire; he creates his art with this conflict in mind. Row focuses on line, composition and form, and accentuates it with the use of rich color and contrasting tones. His trademark is his use of rolling strokes and sharp lines that are not contained by the edges of the canvas, but rather extend to endless destinations.
