RxArt
Global Giving 06 October 2011
RxArt promotes healing through exposure to original fine art in patient, procedure, and examination rooms of healthcare facilities. Carefully curated artistic installations create a humanistic environment that relieves stress and anxiety, while inspiring hope and improving morale. RxArt is unique in that we pay the artists to create quality work that surpasses the art typically found in hospitals. Participating facilities are never asked to pay for the work or installation costs.

Programs
RxArt is committed to working equally with cutting-edge research institutes and public healthcare facilities alike. We are currently partnered with 14 healthcare facilities which include NYU Child Study Center; Children's Hospital, Boston; and Rockefeller University. We are currently working on a project with Jeff Koons who is enlivening a pediatric CT-scan machine with his inimitably playful imagery at Hope Children's Hospital, Chicago scheduled for completion in Fall 2009.
