We just need to raise $2,000 to go to complete the project! Click HERE to help us reach our goal!
RxArt is thrilled to be working with Emory University's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences to install fourteen photographs by James Welling in their Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging waiting area. We are almost there, and so we are asking for your support in the final stretch. A small donation can help bring us a step closer to transforming the current Nuclear Medicine waiting room with Welling's vibrant photographs, creating a more uplifting environment for patients, families and hospital staff.
Please consider lending your support between December 1st - 31st to help Emory begin 2012 with this stunning installation.
- Donate $25 and receive an artist-signed copy of RxArt's newest and most expansive coloring book to date, Between the Lines, Vol. 3
- Donate $100 and receive an autographed Terry Richardson puzzle in addition to a signed coloring book
- Donate $250 or more and receive a signed gelatin silver print of New York taken by Life Magazine photographer, John Muller, between 1938 and 1945
If you would like your donation to be considered fully tax-deductible, rather than receiving one of the aforementioned products, please specify "Contribution Only" in the "Message" section of the "Donate" page.
The smallest donation counts - thank you for your support and allowing us to continue pursuing our mission of improving otherwise sterile environments through contemporary art.
About the project and artist: Welling photographed Philip Johnson’s Glass House in New Canaan, CT from 2006-2009. He was repeatedly drawn to the Glass House because of its transparency, reflectivity and ability to carry color. Welling uses different color filters to get these psychedelic images, further exploring light as the main theme in his work.
James Welling was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1951. He was deeply influenced by the work of Charles Burchfield, Edward Hopper and most importantly by Andrew Wyeth. He is represented by galleries and museums all over the world including David Zwirner and Regen Projects.
